Right-click on the row of tool tabs, then Add tool tab > Composition

I cannot see how to restore the 'composition' tab, without creating a user-defined tab, which then has the wrong icon. However, if I load an old saved workspace it is there, with the correct icon. In the release notes it is implied that there is an option to restore this tab, but I can't find it. Anyone have a solution?

In workspaces, you have to select "Capture one 9". Then the tooltab becomes available to add. In the workspace of Capture one 10, it is not available to add, but there you can easily add a custom tooltab with number or icon, and then add the tools you would like there to imitate the composition tab. The only difference is then the icon of the composition tooltab.

Thanks. I discovered that. Is there any reason NOT to use the Capture One 9 Workspace? Is there anything in it which will work less well in version 10?

I don't think you have to go for the version 9 workspace. (I'm on a Mac, but I don't think that makes difference.)

John Doe correctly suggests that you can right-click on the row of tool tabs, and select to add the Composition tool tab. It comes up with no tools on it, but you can add tools that you would like to see there. I liked the v9 Composition tab so I have added the tools that it has - crop, rotation and flip, keystone and overlay. (I have never actually used overlay in several years of using C1, but there's lots of space on the tab.) These tools all appear open other tabs in the v10 workspace, and you can leave them there or remove them as you see fit. (On a laptop, with limited screen real-estate, it might be a good idea to remove them, but on a larger monitor they are doing no harm.)

(Don't forget to save your customised workspace when you have it like you want it.)

It's not there! I can reate a custom tab called 'Composition', but then it has the wrong icon.

It was, apparently, the icon that was causing some confusion for people since it looked the same as the icon used for direct access to the Crop tool from the menu bar.

I think it works fine with the tools under the Lens tab. But more importantly whatever one decides to do with the collection of tools formerly known as the Composition Tab I would guess it will only take a day or so for the new location to become familiar.

Well it's there on my installation of version 10, and the release notes say you can add it. (2nd bullet under the heading "New! Default Workspace" on page 2, which confusingly enough is the 4th page of the PDF file here .
