changing profiles - does it affect queued images

As for the first part of your question. I just did a quick experiment, took one picture queued it, then changed to a visually different profile and queued the same image a second time. Then ran the queue. The images were rendered differently. I've found that most settings are stored when the image is queued (at first to my disgust, but now to my delight after I learned to take advantage of the feature).

And the last part: The easy grey and easy black profiles take colors that are very near to grey or black and render them neutrally. So if there are any color casts due to variances in lighting or product dyes the "easy" profiles will remove these spurious colors. The 3.7.4 tech bulletin gives some examples: http://www.phaseone.com/upload/co374tec ... eenres.pdf
