Can't find my files
Can anyone help me please. I installed the update today and now once again I cannot find my files that are on my hard drive. I don't use catalogs, I use file folders and it won't see my folders.

Not sure wether you are looking under "System Folders" and not seeing any results, but that's where my foldersshow up as with prior versions. Are you not seeing anything there? 0 -
What did you do last time to resolve the problem?
Have you already tried the same thing this time?

I can find my processed files, I can not choose where I want them. Output send them in process among other elder maps that has nothing to do with PO and I can not change the output path.
I would like to ask, is there coming RAW support for Fuji X-E1 ?

If C1 had a simple folder OS view, and did away with Catalog / sessions, simple as in 3.7 handling, the world would be a better place 😊
System Folder disappears when you work from a catalog mode then to a sessions mode. You have to go in open up another session and that may kick it back with a System Folder that actually shows a browse folder view. Keep in mind , to add to the confusion, there are two System Folder drop downs. Whats worse is if you are in sessions and decide to work on another client folder, or Session and you manage to browse to it in System Folder, and it doesn't crash, even when working in the new folder, you will still have the confusion of the previous Folder titel on the left top and in the sessions name.0 -
As yet I am not in a position to try V7 but I was never fond of the enforced catalogue approach of the early LR ( I bought V1) and much prefer to work in a basic windows folder system - which is how a favourite older RAW convertor/editor worked and keeping things that was allows me to run both independently without adding and additional huge file or two to the system.
I can see a benefit of fully rated, keyworded and EXIF full catalogues for 'finished' output but less so for stuff that migh never come near to escaping into the public domain.
Personally, after taking a little while to get into the swing of them, I really like sessions. But then I tend to keep each major shoot as a separate session. That makes it highly and easily transportable for storage purposes. There are some occasions when I may have a session that groups small sets of captures for other purposes - maybe a rolling project for example, but in effect that just becomes and extended shoot.
I get the strong impression that for image development purposes one should choose whether to operate in a session or in a catalogue.
Or maybe, assuming no use of an alternative fast selection application (Photo Mechanic say, or others), use a Session to complete an initial assessment and "Select" and then import to surviving files to the catalogue based on the contents for the 'Select" folder(s). Copy the session, if required, elsewhere as a backup should it be required.
I am assuming that somwhere in such a process there will be an identification link that would allow re-discovery of the orginal ex-camera file for re-working should that be required. Of course I may find some weakness in my concept when I finally get an opportunity to try it out .
I can also see that it may well not work for everyone, especially in a multi-seat environment but it's good to have options. IMO. Best if and when one can work out how to keep the use of them simple.
