Using a second post processing application?

At this point I am using Lightroom 3 for my post processing. But I have grown to not like my results to skin tones. I went back to C1 today and am very happy. However it appears that LR3 has certain features that C1 5.2 does not. If I work on my initial post processing in C1 to get my images how I like them, would there be any degradation to my image, which would be exported as a 16 bit Tiff, if opened back up into LR3 for more editing?

  Technically not (not meant ironicly 😁 ). What you describe is basically what a lot of photographers do. Get the best raw to tiff conversion first and do further post-processing, asset management, printing, presentation and backup in a second tool. Get best of both.

  I was just not sure if there was any degradation in this method.
