Folders Question
I am pretty new to Capture One and have a question about the catalog folders. Is there a way to know how many photos are in each folder? In my particular workflow, I have my folders arranged by year with subfolders under that. The way it appears to me (hopefully I am missing something) is you really need to click on each folder and drill down to know how many photos are in each folder instead of having the total for that particular folder. For example, if I have 500 photos in the top level folder it does not show any photos. When you expand the folder it may show 10 in a particular folder that actually has 100. It is only when you get down to the lowest subfolder with the photos will you get the number of photos. I hope this is not to confusing and hope that I am just missing something.
Thanks for any help...

I asked a similar question over in the Version 10 area. The answer was that CP1 does not display photos (or counts of photos) in sub-folders and can not be configured to do so. Instead, you have to create projects and albums which will display photos for contained sub-elements. However, I don't believe that it will give you a count of the number of photo inside all of the albums contained in a project. This is an annoyance. I submitted a 'feature request' to add the ability to view sub-folders. You could submit one about adding the counts too. 0 -
It's not exactly what you're asking for, but if you want to know the number of image by year you could use the Filters tool and display the years. The Filter does show the number of image.
Obviously, this workaround doesn't work other sub-totals…
