Customise a camera profile
I wondered if anyone knew a way to customise a camera profile? I have a Sony A450 and it seems to be the only Sony DSLR not listed! All the older Alpha's are and so is the A380, A500, A550. I tried copying the A550 profile then renaming it to A450 but that didn't work. It's a real pain. The A450 is basically the same camera as the A550 but without the movable ld screen on the back.
It wouldn't be so bad if I could make Capture One Express open the raw files as a A550.

Raw support for a specific type of camera involves more than a profile alone. What you could do - theoretically - is make CO6 think that your A450 files come from a A550. I have seen such actions explained here for other cameras.
While on it, don't forget to file a feature request in a support case with Phase One and ask for A450 support.0 -
I'm not sure what to search for to try to load as a different camera, can you remember anything that might help? 0 -
There has been a discussion here regarding Panasonic versus Leica compact cameras. User deejjjaaaa was an expert in this field and you can find most of the posts in the CO 4/5 for Win forum. Key is the exiftool program which manipulates the EXIF of the raw file make raw conversion software think that it is dealing with a different kind of file.
