Compare Variants switching sides on screen

When you set the compare variant in C1, it always goes to the left side of the screen, how do you set the compare on the right side?

    You can't change its position. It is always positioned at the left.

    That's what I thought, someone was trying to tell me otherwise. It would be nice to flip that for layout purposes.
