MacBookPro Screens

I am buying a new 17\" MacBookPro and wondering if anyone had any experience with their new glossy screen as opposed to the regular display. The glossy is supposedly more vibrant and colorful, but I am worried it will not be accurate and true to how the images really are. Any info or feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

  I'll be in the market for the same machine sometime in the near future. The only wisdom that I can share is this: It has got to be better than my PowerBook G4 screen. The right edge is one or two stops darker than the left and the color is tolerable overall. And Apple don't care. It falls within their \"factory specs\". Hmmm.

  Apparently the glossy display is the same display that is on their new Mac Book. I definitely did not order the glossy display after I saw it....the regular display looks much better in my opinion and that is what I went with. The display looks almost like the quality of the Epson P-2000 and 4000 which are very nice, but almost too nice looking and not very accurate in my opinion as well.

  If you calibrate your monitor, the problem 99% solved,imho.
