Add external margin before export

I need to crop 50 images (including full height of variant) and then add fixed size white margin outside this area (to allow image to be printed and bonded to matte board) and then output as jpg to print lab. Before I make 50 round trips to photoshop I thought I should check if this is possible from C1. I have a feeling that a template in the print module may be able to be saved as an output recipe but can't see how?

  The easiest way to do this would probably be to create a droplet in PS to add the blank canvas. Then, set up your process recipe to Open With that droplet.
