V8.0.1 streaks after adjustment brush w/automask
I will probably need to file a support case on this issue, but I wonder if I am the only one observing streaks after brushing in adjustments using auto mask. I have an ordinary i7-based PC running Win7x64 with 6 GB memory and a household Nvidia GeForce GTX 275 display adapter (no OpenCL).
The images where I easily can reproduce white streaks, have grey a rainy/stormy sky that I have exposed to the right. The sky appears light gray without blown out areas. Camera is Nikon D800E
First I pull down the global exposure substantially, between 1.5 and 2.0, to achieve the more dramatic sky that I want. Elements in the middle ground and foreground do naturally also become dark, like silhouettes against the sky. Secondly, I create an adjustment layer and brush in increased exposure (+1.5, say) to lighten such elements. I use a generous feather and about 30% opacity, and I enable the Auto Mask feature to get a clean transition between the now lighter element and the darker sky. I brush along the element edge and the auto mask appears to work. However, white streaks appear in the sky area, outside the brushed element, in the feathered zone where auto mask clips and removes the mask, at least in theory.
The streaks are real in the sense that they do not disappear or change position if I close and reopen Capture One, they move with the image in the viewer. When exported to jpeg they do show in other applications, and they do print. I can reproduce streaks using different files. They appear to depend on brush strokes, as they do not appear exactly the same if I delete the adjustment layer and repeat in a new adjustment layer.
Any suggestion/advice is welcome as I hope to learn more before I file a support issue.

You would probably be better getting your foreground right using the global adjustments tool and then attack the sky area using the gradiant mask in local adjustments (right click on third widget from left in group of 4 wigets at bottom right of Local Adjustments panel and select it). 0
