capture one 3.7.2 and 3.7.1 download not working properly

❗️ hi i am having a problem with capture one, i downloaded 3.7.2 put it on a cd and installed it on a photographers computer to take him through using it before he purchases it. the download went fine, the file was the right size, it installed correctly, and the program works.

However

you can't access the preferences at all, you can't drag images to different folders within the software, you can't change the size of the contact sheet part of the screen (or any other areas), you can't enlarge contacts, or the preview image etc etc.

i tried reinstalling with an old download of 3.7.1 and the same problem occurs, what is going on????

can any one help?

we are half way through a 2 day shoot with me trying to show how good capture 1 is, and it won't work properly please help.

we are using a g4 powerbook, eos 1ds mrk2, tehtered and un tethered have been tried, please help me.

  try disk utility and run repair permissions
  may help

  will give it a go but i think the prob may be beyond that, maybe some sort of corrupt download.

  I had exactly the same issues yesterday with C1 3.7.2 (bought with due license) on a 2x2.3 G5.
  Quit C1, rune repair perms and that did it.
  If it doesn't for you, from the desktop, do a research on all visible AND invisible file that contains \"phaseone\" and trash all .list files
  restart C1

  tried what you said, and after reverting to 3.7.1 restarting computer and repairing disc permisions all was well (phew) no sign of any .list items or similar on the search for pahase one though oddly. and still couldn't get 3.7.2 to work but hey at least the older version worked.
  so thanks for the advice.
