IPTC Metadata Not Importing to Catalog

I just recently made the switch from Expression Media to Media Pro. In MediaPro 1.3, when I drag and drop new image files onto the MP library window, only partial metadata is imported into the catalog. ONLY the following metadata is ingested:

Headline, Title, Creator, Copyright Notice, Keywords, Description.

Fields that I have that FAIL to import: Category, Date Created, Provider, Job Identifier, Rights Usage Terms, Instructions, Status, and other field.

Can anybody help or suggest why this is happening? I can confirm that all above information is indeed embedded in the IPTC info of all of my image files. I never had this problem in Expression Media.

    I don't use most of the fields that you have issues with but for instance Date Created is read just fine. Is there a chance that these fields might just be in the EM database but were not committed to the files using "Sync Annotation..." on all files (which must be selected). Just an idea.

    Hi,

    You need to change one of your preferences. Under Edit > Preferences > General is an option called Field Names. Depending on the value here a number of data items map to different fields. I think that by default it is set to "MediaPro" but what you want is "IPTC". You need to change this and see what happens. I don't think you need to re-ingest images, it will sort itself out straight away. It's a legacy of having multiple "standards" that tried to do the same thing.

    I can confirm that all data has been synced to the image files, and that the info is embedded into the IPTC core. I can also confirm that the Field Names is set to IPTC Core.

    Any other suggestions as to why all of my synced and embedded data is not importing into newly created image libraries in MP?
