White Balance settings require you to use an updated engine
Macbook pro retina, Yosemite 10.10 PB3 C8 and set the white balance in the tools I see here this inscription: "White Balance settings require you to use an updated engine. It can be upgraded using the basic characteristics of the instrument." What is it? What engine? Where to update it? I can not adjust the white balance or not HDR

Hello !
I'm not sure C1-8 is officially prepared for 10.10, which is a GM only !0 -
Not officially supported but it works. I have Yosemite installed on one of my machine and I do not have any problem.
The issue mentioned seems to be related to the use of the WB and HDR tools in the local adjustments tool tab which require the CO8 engine and if the pics were originally opened with CO7 it is mandatory to upgrade the engine using the Basic Characteristics dialog in the Exposure Tool Tab.0 -
The White Balance tool works for the entire image (globally) in CO8 with every processing engine (6, 7 or 😎. However, using the White Balance tool locally on a layer mask, requires you to use the newest engine 8 in CO8. The message the OP describes is displayed on the Local Adjustments tool tab.
The same is true for all new local tools; local HDR tool, local Noise Reduction tool and local Purple Fringing tool: engine 8 is required.
This is as designed and works similar under OS X 10.9 and not 10.10 related.0
