C1 7.1.1 disappearing star ratings
Wanted to see if anyone is experiencing what I have in the disappearance of star ratings. I'm using v7.1.1 on a Macbook Pro Retina with 10.8.3. I had 5 images marked with 1 star as selected by client, I processed out some TIFF files, then went back to my Quick tab and noticed the rated images no longer show up in the browser. In the Filters section, 1 star images have a (0) count. I can still see the images themselves, but they don't have any rating on them. Thankfully I only know they are the rated images because they have the orange gear icon that shows they were processed for output.
I thought I rid myself of the disappearing ratings after v7, but it looks like they're returning for me.

I am having the same problem with OS 10.6.8 but with the default 5 stars album. Selected 5 stars shot don't show up in the album. I have to manually drag them and put them there. Next day, they did not show within the album anymore. 0 -

The quoted line triggers my curiosity. Did you had this issue with earlier version, like CO6?

The default 5-star album is a Smart Album. It should populate automatically and does not support dragging images into it, as regular Albums do. Hence, after a restart, you do not see the 5-star rated images again.
Question is, are you on 7.1.1? Because that version should have solved the issue.
(the issue is that Smart Albums are not populated from the default session folders; you have to make these folders a session favorite first, which seems to be solved in 7.1.1)0 -
I am having a very similar issue. I will rate an image with a star, arrow up or down to the next image, and the rating will disappear. I one case, the name of an image i starred was duplicated on a totally different image. Today, when starring images, the ratings seem to stick. Any thoughts?

If you are using sessions, I suspect the session file. I have not yet figured it out, but the new (read: CO7) session file seems to contain so much more information than the previous versions. Renew the session file and see what happens.0
