Library tool folder rename isn't working for me

I've been working with C1 10 since it came out and really like a lot of things about it. I'm cataloging all of my photos (30,000 or so) and have made it through 2016 and 15 so far. Most of my folders have a date as the name and I've been adding a descriptor to the date (16-01-01 is now 16-01-01 Fort DeSoto). C1 10 hangs up or, in some cases, takes several minutes when I do that. I have resorted to using Bridge for the renames and then jumping to C1 after that part of my workflow is finished.
Anyone else having that problem? Am I doing something wrong. I use the right click/rename function.
