Crop outside of image area?
Sorry, but i'm posting this in both mac and pc in the hope of an answer, as it's not machine specific..
Ok, either i'm going mad, it doesn't actually exist or i'm being rather slow...
I have a whole load of jewellery shots shot in portrait, full out. I need to crop these now into a square format, so.. the tops and bottoms full out in a square, and the left and right will have borders, or at least they would if i could drag a square crop from top to bottom. I would then sort out the rest of the white background in Photoshop. But i'm unable to do this?
In Lightroom, i would set a square crop, but i'd then have the Transform/Scale option to bring the image fully into my constraints. Job done.
Could anyone throw some light onto how i, hopefully, do this in Capture One?!
thanks!

Just as a heads up, i had to go into Lightroom to finish this job as i'd normally do.
I've posted a screenshot of what i end up with in Lightroom.
So, a portrait shot cropped to square format and scaled down so that it fits into the crop, top and bottom.
I then output these particular crops for the client, 2000px square and the rest of the background is cutout to white.

Perhaps you should try posting your link again. It doesn't work.
