backtracking
Suppose you are working with two different pictures. You make a change on one, then go to the other make some changes there, then back to first and so on. At a certain point you want to go back on the changes you have made in one of the pictures. I am unable to go back without also going back on the changes made on the other picture. I my opinion the backtracking algorithm should be such that you can backtrack the steps you made on one of the pictures irrespective of the fact that there were some in-between steps for another picture. Am I doing something wrong?

Interesting point of view. Currently CO6 tracks actions you perform with the program, including going to the next or previous image, just like you describe.
You basically suggest a history tracking per image like Photoshop.
With users browsing through hundreds or sometimes thousands of images during a working session the history tracking per image could easily become a heavy workload for the program, I guess. Here you see the difference between a raw worklow program and an image editor.
In its current form you might consider using CO6's clone variants to save intermediate stages of your editing process. Program overhead is neglectable and with a keyboard shortcut fast to execute.0 -
Thanks Paul,
Good to know I'm not doing anything wrong and I'll follow you suggestion.

Well, as fa as I understand the initial request (history list per image) LR4 does that, every single image change in settings is recorded, it even reloads it when you quit LR and re open it… So why C1 couldn't do it? It is really helpful…
I'm on the list for the ones wishing such feature in C1!0 -
