hide folder heirarchy does not work?

I can show all of the folders and subfolders just fine with the show folder heirarchy command but hide folder heirarchy doesn't seem to work. I have to collapse the folders manually. any one else see this?

  Which version are you on (CO and OS X) as in another post today you mentioned you had not upgraded yet from CO7 (but a lot can happen in a few minutes).

  I see the same in CO 8.1 on OS X 10.10.1. I will contact Phase One on this matter early next year.
  
  By the way, closing and opening the catalog will again hide the hierarchy. It is not necessary to collapse all folders manually. You need to select Hide Folder Hierarchy first. The command is executed, but the library display is not refreshed.

  yes i updated to v8.1 and I'm on 10.9.5
  I created a support case and they saw the same thing.
  hopefully fixed soon - not in a few months.
