Small, Medium and Auto Size - What does it mean?

It relates to how many lines the tool will open up when you click the arrow on the left to open it.

Default is auto (iirc) which means C! will attempt to optimise how many rows to present depending on how much space is available at the time. (Ie how many other tools are open compared to the real-estate available on the screen.)

Try setting different values and then opening and closing the tool - easier to see than to explain.

    HTH.

Thanks! Sounds to me that this setting would be less confusing if implemented elsewhere, as all the other items in the same pop-up are more of a global nature.

C1 tends to have options per tool that are quite specifically related to the tool. Good thing in my opinion but smetimes a little unexpected.

The standard default Library tab has Library and Filters which, with the Process Recipe list, are by their nature likely to be the longest (most possible lines to be used) of all the tools so being able to set a preference there for the size at which they open makes sense.

Most of the other tools are not so potentially large or expandable to make the option worth having, IMO. A few just need to be as large as possible which makes the need for selecting a preferred size somewhat redundant. So the size choice option is not there and I quite like the fact that C1 does not include options that would be pointless just to make everything consistent. However if does take a little getting used to!

Just my view, for what it is worth.

Thanks again for your help. Now that I know what it is it makes sort of sense. All the other tool specific options (and the library options, if clicking the small option triangle in the upper right corner) have smaller fonts, though. This one (and only this one I think) has bigger font similar to other right click menus (in the viewer and browser, which are different btw, not sure why), so these settings just seemed a bit out of place. Anyways, not a biggie once one knows what the setting mean.

    Hi Andreas,

I have not noticed any changes in font size - but then I use Windows so maybe there are differences relating to how the systems deal with scaleability.
