Lost all ratings, adjustments, renaming. Folder in a session
Trying to figure out if this was user error or a bug.
C 11.1; Mac OS 10.11.6
One session for 3 day shot. Broke out 6 folders (session favorites) for 6 setups over the 3 days.
Made my ratings, then adjustments to the 6 session favorites. Added metadata. Renamed this particular folders files. Output FPO's and delivered to client. Went back in and did some individual adjustments to a couple of files from each folder. About to output about 300 files from one of these session favorite folders, and saw that I've lost all the ratings and all the adjustments for the files in that one, particular folder, plus the names of the files have reverted back to the name at capture (I renamed all the files as I was shooting to card and tethered and didn't have a digi tech on set to manage that). The other 5 session folders are OK, just happened with this one session favorite folder.
I'm wondering if there's any way I can "revert" back to where I was, or if C1 saves all versions of an images file name? My backup has the same issue, so I obviously backed up the session after this happened.
Is this user error, or a bug? If user error, I'd dearly love to know what happened so I can avoid doing it again in the future!
Thoughts and suggestions appreciated!

When you rename an image in Capture One it changes the name of the actual image file on disk. The adjustments and ratings you make in Capture One are stored in the CaptureOne folder as sidecar files, if you move that folder you'll loose all the work you've done, but the file won't revert back to its original name. If you accidentally reset adjustments on all selected variants in Capture One it will not discard the ratings you've made nor will it revert the images to their original names.
My guess is that your backup folder some how replaced your "working" folder after you had done the work, perhaps the backup software was set in the wrong direction?0 -
The weird thing, and the thing that's throwing me off, is that the other 5 session favorite folders weren't effected. 0
