upgrades
I have been reading reviews and comments about C1 on the internet to get a better feel for the tool. I am wanting to move away from LR because of Adobe's subscription model.
I read a review of C1 on amazon and the reviewer said that in order to get the (at the time) $100 upgrade price he had to upgrade at least every two years. Otherwise, it was implied, he would pay full price for the latest software.
Is this true? That seems like it could be a significant drawback to C1. I worked at a place where some software we used for awhile followed a similar model. The bosses found their subscription terms unacceptable expensive.

As far as I know Phase One offers upgrades up to two versions back, so for example at this time you can upgrade from v8 or v9 to v10 but if having v7 you must purchase a new v10 licence. Hope this helps.0
