D300 Tethered
Hi
A new user and I have found Capture One to be extremely good. Had some spare time so thought I would try tethering my Nikon D300. Connected OK but can only operate the shutter will not focus. Am I missing something. Operating system Windows Vista
many thanks

That is correct. Tethering involves triggering the release button from within Capture One. 0 -
Hi Paul
Sorry I meant within Capture only the shutter button works the rest of the controls are grayed out.
Thanks

Hi Paul,
I think I did not express myself properly. You can only use the shutter button in Capture One for your D300; that's all you have available for that camera type. Other controls - which are grayed out - apply to Phase One cameras only.0 -
Hi Paul
Thats disappointing but not the end of the day as I do have and use camera control 2 from Nikon. I was misled as yes the shutter button worked but did not carry out the focus before hand (the half press). So if I am right I have to focus the camera and then I can use the Phase One shutter release?
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
