Unable to download the video tutorial
I have tried to download both the .mov and .wmv formats, from Europe and the US but nothing happens. My PC is up to date (I use Mozilla Firefox).
Any ideas?
Thanks.

until they fix it you can watch online the videos, the downloadable version is the sum of those... 0 -
I wouldn't lose any sleep over not being able to see it; it's very weak! It's more of a commercial than a tutorial. Total waste of time IMO. 0 -
common...no commercial shows you how to WORK to a program...nor does it have 30 minutes...it is ok for a beginner in working with the C4...
i've seen questions here that were addressed in that video...so...0 -
OK, I'll concede that for a rank beginner it may be better than nothing, but that's about it. Compare to any LR or PS tutorial and it's a total joke. It tells what can be done, but doesn't get into any real detail at all. What's really bad about it is that it actually give bad information (or at least incomplete). It talks about the customizable toolbar, etc. but never mentions that feature is only available on Macs. Some poor soul is still probably trying to figure out how to custoize his PC.
A totally half-hearted attempt, very much in the same vein as C4 is to date.0 -
You are right about the facts. But no one here asked for your opinion, for a comparison with LR or some other software. The guy asked why he cannot download the video. Let him make his own mind.
I understand yours and others' frustations. They are probably justified. But that doesn't mean that you must say that in every post, must you?0 -
In the Workflow Walkthrough video, at the end when he demonstrates processing, he highlights 3 images and "simply" clicks on process . . no mention of having to hold down the shift key, or no indication of having to do that. Minor detail, but a detail that has caused a lot of confusion for a lot of people since it is also not mentioned in the manual.
The videos are good for an overview, which is really all they are meant to be at this point. Maybe third parties will come along and produce more in depth tutorials as podcasts. Seems to me though that there are still enough bugs with 4.0 that any tutorial would have some difficulty demonstrating things around them.0 -

Touche. You're right, I did get off the original topic and interject my unsolicited opinion. I apologize. You're also correct about the frustration level of mine and others. It's very discouraging to see a company that has been known for the quality of it's product suddenly do a 180 degree turn and ignore the loyal consumer base that allowed and aided them to grow that reputation. I (and many others) have sung the praises of CO loudly over the years, and now it feels very much like PO has spit in our faces by ignoring many (most?) of the suggestions given to it during beta testing. Just as I loudly sung it's praises in the past, I will now equally point out it's failures, but perhaps this column wasn't the appropriate venue to do so.0 -
I understand. But I would wait until 4.1 appears. I see C4 as a new application built from scratch, and from now on they should implement most of the suggestions. I know that it's hard to wait, maybe the 3.7.8 with the D300 support would take away 'old-timers' need to upgrade to 4. And until 4 becomes the tool that it should be, work with 3. I saw that 3 and 4 can leave on the same computer.
Anyway, we shall see their intentions by 4.1 version:whether they want to hear the suggestions and implement them, or sell it to microsoft or other strange plans I've been reading about...0
