Exposure Adjustment Slider Sensitivity
Gentlemen,
I have been using Capture One since version 3.1 and I am very pleased with the results I obtain from my images and with the general evolution of Capture One over the years and the several versions since then.
In spite of this progress there are a few things that I wish Phase One would address in a future release.
I would really like the Exposure adjustment slider to be less sensitive. A very small movement of the mouse generates a large adjustment, making it necessary to enter an exposure adjustment value if one wants to be precise.
Do other users feel the same?
Persio.

Not particularly...but because dragging a slider with the mouse is (IMHO) wasted effort for slight corrections. I tend to hover the cursor (don't click on the field) over a tool's numerical field and use the mousewheel to change the value...this has the added advantage of not changing COne's focus to the toolbar, so keyboard movement through the thumbs (with the arrow keys) is still available.
That's not to say you can't drag the sliders anymore...I just don't due to the improvements in the interface over 3.x. Hope that helps if you choose to try it.....0 -
An even easier (IMHO) is to use the keyboard shortcuts from 3.x. You can select those keyboard shortcuts and then use CTRL +/- to adjust exposure. You can also adjust color adjustments as well this way. Much more efficient way of adjusting values. 0 -

I think the point was that by changing the values with the mouse only 0.1 increments are available which is too coarse and if an in between value is desired (say .13 adjustment) then one has to revert to keyboard entry.
For me .1 is fine, occasionally I need finer adjustment and using the keyboard is not a big deal.0 -
Did you tried to press and hold Alt key, then click and move the mouse ?
Then release the click before the Alt key...
It works for me.

Excellent tip. Thanks. (works on Windows only, not Mac as far as I can determine).0
