files in session disappeared from external hard disk
I am using latest version of capture one pro for sony on windows 10 64 bit both pc and laptop.
I store my raw files in external harddisk, WD passport 2 TB - less than 1 year old. I always store my files in a session.
Normally the drive attached to only my PC at home but this month I use it to work on my laptop also.
I did some edit on my raw files on the laptop and continue to work later on my PC. The problem was I selected some files to be in the select folder when the harddisk attached to the laptop but when i attached to my pc those files all disappeared from session and actual folder!
is it the software problem or the hard disk problem?

Is your entire Session on the external drive or just the source files?
If the Session file system in on an internal drive anything you move into the internal drive file structure will no longer be on the external drive if you use the Session default "Selected" or "Trash" folders. (Or indeed Capture or Output folders).
Moving an image to the Selects folder will actually move the image and its associated edits. Same with Trash, etc.
You would probably be best to keep the entire Session on the external drive subject to possibly slightly slower performance compared to using an internally connected drive.
I would expect that you will still have the files and edits in place if you reconnect the drive to the laptop.
Check for that and then, assuming my guess is correct, we cnandiscuss - if you so wish - what to do about it.

HI SFA,
the entire session is on the external drive and I use default Selected folder in the session.
I just use Windows's Drive tool to repair the drive and now I can see the files!!!
I really want to know what the cause of this problem is whether the drive or the software.
I have never had this problem with another drive when used with earlier version of capture one.0
