THis is a user forum so they generally don't respond. That being said you can put in a bug report with Phase One but don't expect miracles. I have sent them complaints about not being usable due to OOF previews when set to Fit. They acted like they had never heard about then said it might be fixed in the next release. 0 -
we need to open a suppport case just to ask for "blind" c1 staff to READ THIS FORUM. This is my support case.
i think i'm stupid becouse i can't imagine one entire corporation that do not READ or listen consumer/users buzz.0 -
Nando - I sympathise with you . I think that the support level that C1 provide for the cost of the software is appalling.
User to user forum should be for the exchange of hints and tips, they should have a forum where they are active as well.
It took me 3 days to log a support ticket as there web site kept coming up with errors. I loved 3.x of C1 but that doesn't support my new cameras ☹️
Each version of v4 is getting progressively worse, I can't run 4.5 for more that a few minutes with out the thing crashing - it a piece of shit crash monster. V3 seemed to be written very much with photographers in mind. God knows who they asked for v4 but it's not somebody who has to edit tons of pictures a day.
The output is excellent but to have to put up with constant crashing is just not one. I have a support ticket outstanding on this but if it isn't fixed them I for one am not going to give them any money for C1 Pro and I'm going to ditch it altogether for something else.
I don't really want to do this but I've got to the stage now where enough is enough.0 -
I gave up creating support tickets for the same reason.
And I fully agree about 3.7 is slick in a production environment - I can drive it with one hand on the keyboard one on the mosue. Now with 4.5 I am having to jump backwards and forwards.0 -

Support case facility is NOT reliable.
I had problems creating a support ticket on Sunday evening. I don't think I have ever managed to create a support ticket at the first attempt. certainly not in ther recent past. So I usually don't bother - I use the time to more productively.0 -
System is checked twice a day.
It is tested to be working with IE6 or better, Firefox Win/Mac and Safari Mac.
We have numerous customers using the system everyday. Functionallity is there.
I will leave this thread with that.

I have found that popup blockers could/would/can cause all kinds of problems accessing support. Not just at PhaseOne, the Adobe store was another problem I had recently 🤬
And it doesn't always appear to be caused by the blocker in the browser.
JAVA script and popup windows, fun stuff. 🙄0 -

So, if phase one read this forum, engenniers MAYBE do some work about it...

We are a awake, there is a preview issue as it coming up soft, and a service release is in the pipeline. Official release date has not been announced so you have to wait for "official communication channel"

Since you seem to be checking this thread and you mentioned issues with soft previews I'll repost an issue I raised elsewhere re the preview image. I have just tried a trial of the lastest C1 Pro. It was a fresh install onto a brand new machine. (ie never had C1 on it before) Everytime I adjust any slider the whole preview image disappears, displaying the 'focusing' message before the image reappears in a few seconds. It did it for both C1 4 and C1 4 Pro. Fed up - I uninstalled the latest download and reinstalled my old version of C1 4 (not sure of the number - but its about 6 months old) It now works as it always has. The preview does go soft for a fraction of a second - but never disappears.
I was prepared to shell out more good money on the Pro software for the added benefits of user definable menus etc - but this is just unworkable. How is it that a superceeded, low end version works OK but the latest "pro" one has such a problem?
As an aside - I echo the thoughts of the original poster. To have a forum like this on your own website and not check it constantly for feedback from your user group is astounding. I've been visiting the forums since v4 came out - and the same issues are still being raised. Doesn't it make good business sense to listen to the feedback of those who use your product and use that feedback to give the professional users what they feel is important. Well done for listening to the many of us who asked for user definable menus, but there are many other issues which are still being thrashed around months later. Surely if your users are happy - you sell more software and in turn you are happy! I think thats called win - win0 -

4.5.1 crashes a lot (at least at my computer)
For me it is not a "final" version nor "beta" version. 4.5.1 still in "ALPHA"

I have small (fast) previews in the main viewer and open the second viewer "behind" the application (set to 25%). I toggle main window and second viewer window with ALT+TAB. That's quite okay.0
