unwanted (accidental) delete of images, turn it of?
Hi
I've accidental permanently deleted a few files in the last couple of months. I could recover the raw files and old settings from my backups, but not the work for the evening itself...
Is there an option so that C1 is not able to delete files permanently?
Move to the trash is fine for me 😉

Hmm.
What are you settings for warning in the Preferences?
I have all of the warning selected to display.
I use sessions.
If I am working from an Album all of the delete commands (that I have found and tried) will only delete to the session trash.
If I am working in directly in a folder selected from a Session Favourite or directly in a system folder "Delete" will delete to the session trash without awaiting confirmation. But if I Alt-Delete to make a full and final deletion from the system I get a warning message that allows me to cancel the instruction if I wish to do so.
Obviously if you are operating outside C1 you will see whatever the OS offers.
So a full delete without warning seems to be something that can be avoided unless I have missed another route to deletion which offers no warning.
Do you see something different?

ETA:
You can remove the the keyboard short cut for "Delete Permanently " (Alt-Delete on my system) by highlighting the opiton and entering the command. That will toggle it to a blank state and it will no longer work (at least where I tested it it will no longer work.)0 -

Ok Sessions it is. You mentioned it already, you can have Move to Trash and Delete Permanently. If you like to be safeguarded with a trash, use the Move to Trash option. You'd better stay away from the Delete Permanently option. It is permanent. 0
