White dots/speckle problem at High ISO solved!
I've been trying to solve a problem I've had with C1 for 2 years now with white speckles showing up in shadow areas especially in high iso shots. Long exposure NR helped a little but not enough, Luminance looks terrible. Asked tech support, not much help really. They told me to find a balance between luminance NR and threshold that worked for me. I hate the way Luminance NR looks, so that was no good. Here's the solution, so simple:
Photoshop dust & scratches filter, radius at 1, threshold between 25-50 totally gets rid of it without messing up the rest of the image.
Additionally, you'll notice that the sharpening panel is really what's pulling those white dots out. At first when I discovered this I stopped using it and tried to sharpen last in my workflow, but it ended up the same and now I'm back to using it but with the D&S filter afterwards. I A/B'd all kinds of variations and this works best for me.
Hope this helps someone! I'm elated, now there's absolutely no downside to using C1 for me and it's by far my favorite.
(Hey Phase One, how about a panel that does this? Only after local exposure adjustments though!)

Zach,
Depending on your file (File Format and Digital Hardware) the Long Exposure should do the majority of the heavy lifting. Beyond that, in the near future, Capture One PRO will have a "Spot" removal feature so that you can take out light specs on dark subject matter.
If that isn't a viable solution for you then it may be time to replace your hardware as white pixels made be dead pixels as appose to just white noise.0
