    Hi Peter,

The Move-To function allows you to quickly move any image to you like or dislike (your preference) to a folder you assigned the Move To status to. When you are working with sessions, each session has its own Move To folder but you can assign any folder as the Move-To folder.
Moving images to the Move-To folder is easy by right-clicking the image (oops, Ctrl+click), so it is a workflow tool, basically.

Oh and by the way, the 'Move To' folder is one of the oldest Capture One goodies.

I don't know why its 'one of the oldest" goodies but it sure is one of the most pointless.

If it worked like an Aperture style folder or LR quickview by only referencing the image and not moving the original it would be much better. Physically shifting images into different folders and thus disappearing from the main browser view just does not help workflow.

You'd think after all this time and having access to the competition you'd think Phase would come up with a better method rather than 'we'll just add another folder in a session that works just like a standard folder'.... genius!

I find it easier just to colour tag my working images and leave them where they are.

I have found no explanation for this new addition to Capture One within the video tutorials and am curious.

My remark of the 'oldest goodies' referred to the OP's 'new addition'. The Move To folder has been in CO since its first release IIRC. Whether you like that option or not, I can't change history. Features with a long (and sometimes overdue) lifespan are sometimes referred to as 'goodies'. Compare to the Goodies folder of your Photoshop CD.
A new addition in CO4 are Albums and Favorites, more in line with tools mentioned here like Aperture and LR.

That is your opinion. We've been using this tool very efficiently for more than 4 years.

Yes, sorry pointless is a little strong and I'm glad you can intergrate this into your workflow. Moving files out of the main capture folder just slows me down, especially when I've shot slight variations of exposure or positioning to have to keep hopping between folders to see the differences.

Paul's suggestion of the Albums is a great new feature and a better way IMO but would like to see the images tagged in some way to suggest they have been added to an Album folder like they are in Lightroom quickview.
