Capture One 6 bug
What gives?
I star a shot. Then a few moments later, the software un-stars it. Makes using this software a mess; a waste of money.
To see what I mean, watch this vid capture: http://www.martinkunert.com/extra/CaptureOneBugs.mov
What you don't see is my mouse select one star for a lower right image (the video software for some reason does record the mouse). Then watch the top left of the screen. To the left of the pointer icon, a little circle will appear twice. And then the star disappears.

I never ever experienced anything like this 0 -
So does anybody from Phase One tech support deal with bugs? Or are users left to deal with problems on their own? 0 -
To adjust expectations, please be aware you are primarily talking to Capture One users here, not Phase One support staff, as this is a user-to-user forum. For a direct response from Phase One support, please open a support case.
I viewed your video.
I don't know whether any keystroke was entered from the keyboard in between setting and loosing the star rating. For example, you might think your mouse has the focus on some tool's field (exposure for example) but in fact the thumbnail has the focus. Next, you press 0 (zero). This will cause the star to disappear.
I also don't know whether this occurs frequently, occasionally or consistently all the time. If consistent I would suggest to reset the program (details can be discussed here if needed).0 -
The first thing I would check is the permissions setting of the folder you are shooting to. When I have seen this sort of issue it has been a conflict concerning how permissions are set up on the drive or folder you are shooting to. 0 -
Thank you MidWestTech and Paul_E for your responses.
I will open a support ticket.
What is bizarre about this bug is that:
1) It happens without keystrokes being imputed.
2) It's intermittent, so folder permissions wouldn't be one of my suspects.
3) It does not change color tags.0
