Frequent Mac crashing while running Capture One 20 (most recent version)
I'm having a recurring problem where my entire compute shuts down in the middle of working on Capture one. Occasionally just the app itself crashes but usually it's the whole desktop. I'm running the most recent version of OS X and Capture One, have 40GB of ram and a capable processor. The computer is less than 5 months old. This only happens when working in Capture One. Is this a known issue? Has anyone experienced the same issue? If so...any fix? I tried turning off hardware acceleration for processing as I had to turn it off for exporting because it was causing files to fail to export properly, but that didn't work. Extremely frustrating and potentially dangerous with the risk of data corruption.

I cannot comment on the cause of the crash, but as to your concern about data corruption, you can recover your data from the backup by replacing the corrupted cocatalogdb (database) in the cocatalog (catalog) package with the backup copy of the cocatalogdb. This approach will work when Capture One cannot repair the database.
Of course, you have to backup the database whenever you make a change so that you have the latest data.

What model and specs of the Mac are you running?
What version of OS X?
I'm running on both a Mac Pro (new) with Catalina, and with a MacBook Pro late 2011 with OS X High Sierra, with no problems.
