    Thomas,

Capture One "phones home" as part of the licence validation process, and presumably that's all your seeing here.

I've never heard of a single security issue being associated with this behaviour, but I've just tested and can confirm that Capture One will run quite happily without there being a live internet connection, so you can always disconnect before firing up the programme.

    I wouldn't bother, personally.

Little thought. 127.0.0.1 is your machine loopback ip address, my guess is that they are using sockets (ethernt) to connect from the GUI to the background task ImgCoreProcess.exe. Many programs that use a background app for doing work and a forground GUI app use this method. Should not be an issue, as the communications from your machine to your machine. I am surprised that your firewall even cares about this or you have the paranoid level turned up to extreme.

    Correct.

We use the Loopback IP for two separate steps. Activation, just to test that Port 80 is unrestricted.
And when Processing images. We use the Loopback as a way to "send" the processed files "out" and then save them in your Output folder. It all stays local so no network is actually used, just our way to make the process a bit more efficient.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. That sets my heart at ease.
