  It should be possible to adjust this in the same manner as the area closest to the picture area.
  
  At a first glance the V4 looks very nice, but after a while I'm getting rather tired in my eyes.

  I strongly agree. All the books on image editing advise maximum neutrality in the editing environment. The C1 v4 environment (which seems to be modelled on LightRoom) is too dark to be properly neutral. But, to me, it's better than many others, including most of the versions of Photoshop I have used.

  Yes this would be nice and would make some of the text easier to read.
  No big deal but that would be a nice touch.
