offline cataalog

Greetings all

I have moved all my photos and catalogs to an external HD. Now wham I open the catalogs directly from the HD it C1 tells me they are offline. Could some one be so kind as to tell me what I need to do to indicate that the external HD is the new location for the catalog and files?

  In the Folders section in the Library tool, select the folder or the drive you moved (and has a red marking to signal the offline state). Right-click and select Locate. Browse to the new location.

  Thank you! Only problem when I do that C1 crashes while opening the folder.
  It has been over 5 months since 7.0 has been out, and at least for me C1 crashes like a beta still. I am soo sorry because it renders images beautifully but I cant continue to work like this. Every time its a gamble weather it will crash or not.
  
  I am forced to go back to LR and I dont like it a bit

  I too have session folders and what-not as I am getting use to the catalogue - session shift.
  To reunite "offline" images in a catalogue that were moved with their adjustments, ( I was not wise yet to the catalogue layout) I have found the locate menu item.
  I have not been able to use it in a batch or folder method, only single image at a time. Locate is gray when more than one preview is selected. That could take a long time!
  Select all, and right clicking all over the place has gotten me nowhere. Same for dragging here and there.
  Please guide me to the nirvana of catalogues.

  Go to the Library tool, Folders section of the catalog. Select the folder you moved, right-click on it and select Locate. If you selected multiple folders and their parent folder, re-locate the parent folder.
