Doing some flat art copy work. Isn't there a feature in CoProV5 where I can shoot my area with just a plain board, and CO will analyze the shot and 'even out' the area so the artwork has perfect even illumination?

  Yes, it is the LCC feature. It is discussed here, for example:

  That's because you are on 5.0.1 😉
  Update to the latest 5.2.1 for free and try again.
