Some aspects of the new interface (highlighting through a darker background colour, readability of "number of images" indicator) are better, but I really don't like the font size increase.

A little bit of vertical space difference can mean that a tool still fits uncollapsed or one gets the very unproductive auto-collapsing of tools instead.

C1 is so user-configurable -- e.g., in terms of the tools placement, keyboard shortcuts, etc. -- I don't get why the font size and the background colour are not user-definable as well. I understand that one needs to make sure that UI contrasts still work despite user choices, but if that is too difficult to figure out with a very liberal scheme, why aren't there at least a couple of UI choices as in "dark", "light dark", etc. ?

Does V12 not respect Windows fonts scaling anymore? If it does, it would be very little work to support user-defined tweaks to the font size. I wouldn't want to change my global Windows font scaling just because C1's font have become bigger than I need for my full HD monitors.

I agree with your entire comment... 😉

Hmmm... quite interesting to see - which screen resolution do you use?
I am using 1920x1080 and the difference due to the larger font sizes and bigger sliders is much more visible (and annoying, because there is space for tools missing on the screen and the proportions are inharmonious compared to the rest of the screen layout).

    My monitors are both 24 inch 1920 x 1080...

Ugh. Interesting to see that the difference is nearly unvisible in the smaller view of the uploaded images, but totally annoying to me when working with it. 🤓

Yes, it is annoying in that it seems to suit some monitor sizes and resolution and not others. So PhaseOne has essentially just swapped which of their customers they wish to please and/or annoy. Shame they could not have made the font size and color scheme user-configurable; imagine something as 'innovative' as that 😉
