MX150 for Capture One?
Hello everyone,,
Has anyone tried editing on a laptop with mx150 dGPU? Is it okay for basic editing or do I need something more powerful?
I'm currently looking for a new laptop for editing when not at home. Primary use is for software development, second only for photo editing. I have Surface Pro 3 and it's struggling for basic editing. If mx150 will be able to handle it (and bonus if it won't turn the fan on high like the SP3), I might get the Lenovo T480s. This unit can be customized to have mx150 and WQHD touch display.
T490s is also coming in a few months, but from my research, Lenovo removed the dGPU option.

How about a Lenovo with 2700U incorporating RX Vega 10 Graphics? 0 -
It depends - as usual - on your requirements and expectations.
I can shoot tethered and do light work on an old Macbook Pro with a Geforce GT 750M and that's certainly doable with the MX150 which is by far faster.
The equivalent desktop GPU to your laptop GPU would be a GTX 1030 and that's not a terrible card and certainly fast enough for most tasks.
However your mileage might vary.
Trying to edit a bunch of 150MP images will surely not give your the same experience as editing a few 25MP images.0 -
Hi there,
since this thread is one year old, any chance somebody has actual experience with MX150 or MX250 cards in a notebook?
There is a low power and a high power (watt) version used in different notebooks, so any hands-on experience on specific notebook models would be very welcome
Thanks.

This is SPAM. Judging by the link in the first post.

If so I don't care, my question stands...
