Suggestions for Catalog Workflow - new to C1 7

I'm new to this program and I'd like some guidance, or a referral to a tutorial as to how best to manage files with C1.

This is how my folders are structured on my drives.

1. At the beginning of each year I create a folder called, simply, 'Images 2014' (or whatever)

2. Inside 'Images 2014' there is a folder for each client.

3. Inside each client folder there are job folder that are named, '2014-08-29 House Interiors' (or whatever)

That's it.

When using Lightroom, I would browse to the job folder (in 3. above) and Import it.

I would then end up with a long list of folders on the left hand side of the screen.

What is best practice with C1?
