'Offline' Images
Hi, I'm new to Capture One and am having some difficulties. After editing all of my favorite photos, I categorized them on my catalogue by rating them. Yet when I went to individually export all of my "5 star" photos, there were question marks labeling the edited photos as 'offline.' When I went to export them, the exports failed. After googling the problem, I was informed that photos that are marked as offline are usually photos from an external hard drive that have had minor adjustments made through Capture One while the hard drive isn't connected. Yet my photos aren't saved on a hard drive but are saved on Adobe Bridge on my computer. I'm wondering how I can get my edits off 'offline' mode and saved onto my desktop so that I can e-mail them.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

So many questions. The root problem is that C1 has "lost" the location of the images.
Are you using a catalog or a session?
Are the image inside the catalog, or referenced from outside?0 -

Thanks for the reply! Sorry for the confusion.
I'm using a catalog and the photos are referenced from outside - specifically my Mac HD.0 -

I'm using a catalog and the photos are referenced from outside - specifically my Mac HD.
In your folder list, do you see the folder the images are in with a count of how many images there are? Is that folder still the same name, in the same place, as you started with on your HD?
Did you rename a file or move it in the Finder (no from inside C1)?
Since C1 has "lost" the reference to the images, you'll need to re-establish that link.0 -

You need to do all organizing of your library inside Capture One, if you use Finder or Bridge, Capture One will lose track of the referenced images.0 -

I suggest that you pick two or three of examples of the lost images, note where Capture One expects to find them, and then search for the images using Finder.
From there, you should be able to get an idea what has happened to them - have they changed name, size or location, how did that come to happen and which other files were changed in the same way.
If it's a change in folder (location) then connecting the images in Capture One to the files will be fairly simple using the "locate" function, which is available either by right clicking on one image (with a missing file) in the COP image browser, or by right clicking on the folder in the COP Library tab where the missing files should have been. In either case this brings up a finder window, and then you must select the folder where the missing files are.
If it's a change in the file name name or file contents (size perhaps) then the job gets more difficult and the details aren't clear to me. Let's cross that bridge only if we come to it.0
