Library Keyword Search
The setup and operation of keyword allocation to single and multiple images looks good and I have experminted satisfactorily. I now want to have the search and display facility which is built into Media Pro where I can 'clik' on a keyword and view all the images that conform to that or those words. Does this exist or am I missing something. The Keyword Video does not mention a search and display option.

Your description seems to fit the following feature - just one way to filter by keyword(s).
Go to the Library tab.
Open the Keywords sub-section.
Click on the radio button for the word you want to select by.
For multiple words click on a first word selection and then SHIFT click on any other you want to include.
For more complex combinations use the Filter tool or perhaps the multiple filter selection first described above followed by a filter or filters to eliminate some of the selection where some combinations are not valid for the purpose of the search.

Sorry - I must be the original 'Confused.Com' The Catalog Keywords in my list don't have a Radio Button. Enter a word in 'Filter Keywords' and nothing happens. Where am I going wrong? 0 -
First you need to be at least some of the files have keywords.
Select a file and go to the info/metadata tool - the 10th tool from the left side of the tool panel on my machine. It has the letter i with a circle around it.
If there are keywords in at least some of the images, then going back to the library tool - the one on the far left that looks like a file folder. should show a variety of palettes in the filters section (below library and user collections.
Be sure the carrat for filters has been clicked on so it points down.
You should have a variety of filter choices you can click on including rating, color take, date, keywords, and place. Each section must also be opened by clicking on the carrat. All the keywords for the collection you have selected should show up and you can tick off whichever ones you want.
I am working in catalog mode and am not sure if sessions work differently.
Hope that helps.0 -
thank you very much. The tool 'Filters' needed to be added to the library tab from the 'create floating tool' tab under 'Window'. Now it is actually a bit better that I though because it also has the date functionality that is also in MediaPro. Thank you Peter762 0 -
Glad it worked and you are happy. 0
