Capture 10.2.1 High Sierra and Sony (work around)
Greetings.. MacBook Pro running High Sierra and Capture for Sony 10.2.1
Sony A9: Works Perfectly
Sony A7ii and A7s Getting Proxie errors,
Take a frame and window pops up " Proxie Creation Failed"
Close the window, take another frame and basically nothing happens . Camera basically locks up,
Shut it down and get a window Saying : Capture in progress Do you want to terminate the capture,
Shut it all down and use the A9 and all is fine. Same Tether tools cable etc.
Camera settings are correct.
So I try the iMac running Sierra and all is fine, So obviously a High Sierra Issue, but it has been out for awhile now.
High Sierra has been out for a few months so the Phase One statement saying they don't support High Sierra is a bit mystifying ,
I bought the pro version recently, obviously missed the High Sierra statement. I bought it but missed the free upgrade to Version 11 30 day window by 5 days so in order to upgrade to 11 I have to buy it again, but would 11 solve this issue ?
Downgrading is really not an option. and the whole point for me when the budget does not allow for a Tech I work with who has the ultimate tether set up, I tether solo to a MacBook.
All Firmwares are up to date,
The a9 is fine, works perfectly, A7 series do not, same errors, A7s and A7II
HAs anyone tried the A7r III in this set up ?
Thoughts ?
Thank You

Done that, will share my findings when I get a response,.
Just for no reason tried it again with eh A7II and got a new error window. "Camera can not be attached "
Then tried the a9 again and the a9 works fine.

Well I may have found a work around. On a whim I tried my Amazon Basics Usb Extension with a generic USB camera cable and Both A7s and A7II worked. Plugged in the Tether tools cable and they do not, but the Tether tools cables works fine on A9. In regular Sierra the Tether tools cable works on all cameras. 0
