Layered Adjustments

Hello,

Is it possible to adjust the intensity or transparency of a local adjustment after the fact? For example, if I brushed additional saturation into the sky but later wished it wasn't as intense, can I "turn down" that specific layer adjustment?

  I am not sure I understand the problem. You brushed in a mask in an adjustment layer and moved the saturation slider too far to the right? If yes, did you try to revisit that layer and move the saturation slider leftwise a bit?
  
  Or do you want to reduce saturation in a part of the masked area, as if you wish you added less saturation only in a specific part of the mask? If yes, use the eraser with approporiate parameters (size,hardness, opacity, flow) to make your mask less dense in that part. Switch between eraser and brush (B and E keys) to increase/decrease mask density and brush/erase as needed, use the M key to toggle the visible mask on/off if you want to observe mask density distribution. Combine mask density adjustment with saturation slider adjustment to get it right.

  Thanks for the feedback. I see my example doesn't fully express my question.
  
  With a single adjustment it make sense to change that specific slider. Often times I my do several adjustments on a single layer specific to an area of an image. Better example might be working on the sky. I may adjust saturation, contrast, clarity, color etc. All specific to the sky only. Once I have worked the entire image I would like to adjust the "overall" adjustments applied to the the sky layer only. Pulling down or increasing every adjustment equally in that particular layer.

  In that case the answer is to make your mask not 100% opaque. So you might mask the layer with an opacity of 50%. If you decide that you are getting too much or too little of the effect you want then you could change the brush opacity to say 75% and brush over the area again. But I am afraid that there is no way to just increase the opacity of the layer with a slider. I would suggest, though, that it is better to increase or decrease the sliders individually in the masked layer.
