C1v6 slow to show image in focus durring capture. Anyone?
Is there a "fix" or solution for this?
C1v6.x takes for ever for the file to show up in focus. C1v6.x never hangs the camera but takes almost 15 seconds to show a file in focus.
C1v3.7x takes a couple seconds, almost instant. I do maybe 4 or 5 frames and then I will get an Error. It locks up the camera in Error (says I should put the power setting in Normal, which it is).
Odd thing is Before I installed V6.1 on the system, v3.7x would Not error out. The error doesn't appear to be happening from memory limits or physical throughput.

I don't use the capture mode, but all of my hangups with CO 6 have involved the focus operation.
The program doesn't crash, it just hangs; often requiring a stop using the Win Task Manager.
Most of mine seem to occur after I have used the spot correction tool.

Hey Jim,
No crash for me, but even editing the changes take stuttering delays that just make it less enjoyable to edit/process in C1. Even after OpenCl enabled, It was bettter, but I can be bothered to wait for the focus to show each time I switch images.
I end up using ACDSee Pro 4 to browse then launch the file I see in focus. ACDSee is blazing fast and is a raterh DAM more than a browesr. It isn't as network friendly as Media pro, but it certainly works smoother with lots of options and easy interface. But I am with high hopes that the Media Pro update will make things a lot smoother and hoping the panels interface to certain tasks will be streamlined.
Very odd you are getting a crash. I want to say to check your video card. perhaps see if it is in native mode. make sure it is.
Check for updates. I've tried to be dedicated to C1 as my processor of choice, but it looks like Adobe Camera raw won me over. I tried Lightroom, and I don't like the way the browser has to load images and such, and the interface panels that slide over each other on the right.
Either way C1 is great in many way and if you like working with it, send a support request as that sounds like something they can handle.0
