Disappearing files 6.45

Why would several files disappear at once after capture.These were the last shots of the day and not retakable. I'm using a 5d mk3 tethered to a MBP 10.8 and C1 6.45. I am mortified 🤭

  ive been using c1 since version3, NEVER had files disappear. 🤬

  Sorry to read about your misfortune. With regard to the 'why' I can not think of a reason or clear cause.
  
  Did the lost images initially appear in CO 6? Could they accidently have been saved to a different folder (change of capture folder)?
  
  Have you considered to open a support case?

  Something very similar happened to me today.
  Everything inside my folder disappeared after I changed the folder's name and I can't even open it in Finder.
  I'm on a CO 6.4.2 on a MBP. Does anyone have an idea of what happened and HOW I can trace them back?

  I don't think the cause is similar. Did you changed the folder name from CO6 or Finder? If Finder, was CO6 running and using the folder?

  Yes Paul, they DID show up in CO6 (thats the frustrating part).
  
  What would I expect to accomplish by opening up a case?
