    Please say yes!
    Sorry, I can't…
As you seem to have tried all tricks, may I suggest that you send a report to support case with your crash log?
Before that you could check your RAM health in the Apple menu…
Hope you solve quickly your prob…

Where would I be setting "use open CL" to never and what does that exactly mean or do? Thanks.

Ok..I see that it's in the preference settings and set to NEVER. Why do you believe that could have been causing my system to freeze up completely though? I am hoping it was this easy, but am VERY doubtful.

I am also having issues with the same machine as you.
I have been speaking with apple about several kernal panics. These seem to have stopped since upgrading to the last two releases of c1pro. I am on snow leopard, 16gb ram. Now instead of kernal panics, I still often get a window (or multiple stacked windows!!) saying c1 out of memory crash.
Of course have done all the fault diagnostics mentioned, hardware test, ram test......

What graphics card is installed. Have you done a full check on the ram that you have (memtest)? What did the support guys say after looking at the logs? Which version of Capture One are you running? 6.2.1 addresses an specific issue for Octo MacPro's. I run 6.2.2 on all our MacPro's.

    Hey Derek1,
So Lion & C1 are solid on your Pro? Is it a 2009 8 core?
    Hmmm ...
That would be a fun upgrade if it works in the real world.

    Thanks!

I can't confirm that the issue is related to the link below, but if the OpenCL option changes any behavior it could likely be related.
