Incompatible files that C1P does not want to import
Incompatible files that C1P does not want to import.
Just started migrating from Aperture to CaptureOnePro.
I have an Aperture Library with 4789 (Referenced) images, the images are in 1 folder.
On first attempt I got 129 incompatible files.
Unfortunately I could not find a log telling me which images were incompatible...
So I tried and tried and found the following.
These are the images that C1P does not like to import:
- an image with extension .jpg that is actually a BMP file
I created some smart albums in Aperture to catch the rest
- SmartAlbum0 - ApertureMetadata: Original Pixel Size includes 0 × 0 (0,0 MP) (Unsupported Image Format)
- SmartAlbum1 - EXIF: Color Model is Gray AND EXIF: Color Space is sRGB AND EXIF: Profile Name RGB
- SmartAlbum2 - EXIF: Color Model is Gray AND EXIF: Color Space is Uncalibrated AND EXIF: Profile Name is empty
- SmartAlbum3 - EXIF: Color Model is Gray AND EXIF: Color Space is sRGB AND EXIF: Profile Name is empty
- SmartAlbum4 - EXIF: Color Model is Gray AND EXIF: Color Space is Uncalibrated AND EXIF: Profile Name includes sRGB IEC61966-2.1
In the SmartAlbums are all the images that were in my Library that C1P didn't want to import.
Exported the images to save them in a separate folder and than deleted them from Aperture (and thus removed them also from the folder in which the referenced files are located).
Then I could import both files from the folder and from Aperture Library.
Took about 20 minutes on my machine (2011 iMac, i5/12GB of memory, C1P 9.2.1 OSX 10.11.5)
Hope someone can benefit from this

Gray color space and too tiny definition images are not supported by Capture One. In the former case, the solution is to open them in Photoshop, for instance, and transform the color space into RGB. 0 -
Thx, I will take a look at your solution.
And thx for your tip about the image size.
But my first objective was to find the images that COP was not going to import.
Hence the creation of the SmartAlbums, that I will try and use on my other Aperture Libraries.
