What Happened to My Files??
I did a job last weekend. I shot it on a rental laptop, where everything was fine. I backed up all the files on a hard drive and on dvd. When I try to view, edit, process in Capture One 3.7.6, the images will show up, but mainly as a preview type of image, they wont fully resolve, I cannot see any 100% preview, no histogram, I cannot process... When I see the index prints, it says TIFF in the upper left instead of RAW. When I look at my files on hard drive and discs, the are there, the captures settings are there, the file sizes look correct.
The same thing occurs on 3 dvd's and an external hard drive, so I dont think it is a corrupt disc burn. I didn't do anything different when backing up from the laptop, at least not anything that I am aware of.
I would be so grateful for any solutions or experiences someone might have

I accidentally posted this in the Windows forum, I am actually using MAC OS. I dont know if any of the same solutions would apply, but I dont want to waste anyone's time. I apologize, I am new to this forum 0 -

Even though I don't fully understand, this is how I work: after getting the files on the computer, I filter out the JPEG and TIFF (the name that appears as the extension for the DNG automatically from the Windows USB copy cable (sic)). If a JPEG is in the file I am looking at, it does exactly as you describe (you can't fool around with JPEG). I select the destination of the folder I copied the .TIFFs to in the tab 'browse folder' and this comes up as the capture source. This gives me the picture workflow options. albert0 -
My problem turned out to be quite simple. I was using a rental P30+ back, and I didn't update my software. Phase told me that 3.7.6 cannot recognize + files. I got 3.7.7 and everything is fine. 0
