Tethering from D700 into Capture One Pro 7.1.3
Hello everyone!
I'am using Capture One Pro 7.1.3 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
I tried to connect my D7000 and D700 to Capture One Pro 7 to take photos directly into Capture one TETHERED session. But it refuses to discover any of my cameras!
1) I connect my D700 via USB 2.0 (3.0 aswell) my PC shows a Digital camera in explorer.
2) I Launch Capture One Pro 7
3) I Create Tethered Session
4) Go to "Capture"
5) Go to drop down menu "Camera"
6) I see "No camera attached"
7) The End
What do i do wrong? I cant make it to work. Do i need extra software or maybe Drivers?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Please verify that Nikon tethering is enabled in Preferences -> Capture0 -
Tick "Nikon" is enabled in Preferences-"Capture". Also no choices to choose camera there. 0 -
Have you removed the memory card(s) from the cameras? 0 -

And be sure you reboot or restart your pc after you have taken out the memory card.0 -

There should be no reason to restart the computer because of this 😊0 -
Im good with PC's i used to do tuning and building PC's. I Tryed all things like different cables, reboots, reinstalls. Nothing helps. Ir seems like some software missing. Maybe developers can say something? 0 -

I had quite a bit of trouble shooting tethered with my D700, it seems that between ten meters of USB cabling and the weirdness of Windows' device handling and Capture One's occasional driver crashing it's a tricky thing to do.
Things I check:
Does the camera show [ PC] where the remaining shots would normally be displayed? If not, you're not actually connected to the computer yet. Fundamental problem, the camera is basically ignored by Windows. Turn the camera off, check your cables, try again. Reboot if that doesn't help.
Did Windows pop up the 'device attached!' window, offering choices for using the camera? If so, this seems to block Capture One from accessing the camera. Close this, so C1 can get to work.
Was it working briefly, and then stopped? Capture One may have had a seizure, and for one reason or another can't re-establish communication with the camera. Windows will still see the camera, but C1 won't. Reboot, and try again.0 -
10 metres or USB cable ? I would try a much shorter one, just to see. You may be experiencing an attenuation of signal. 0 -
10 meters is not stable without an active repeater. Try to do a test with a standard 2-3 meter cable and see how that goes. 0 -
Hey, I'm not the guy having problems. I solved them, remember? The cables work fine (and have active signal boosters in 'em). =) 0
