MediaPro SE not showing Metadata Photoshop CC2017

Photoshop CC 2017 2017.01 release

A few weeks ago I noticed that metadata for some images wasn't showing up in MediaPro. These images are LZW compressed layered tifs. I've run disk utilities, deleted all the plists, and done a clean install of the software, still no data shows up. If I Save As.. a tif, no data shows up. If I Save As... a psd the data miraculously shows up. If I then save that psd as a tif again, no metadata. So it looks like it's either my specific machine or Photoshop CC2017 changed something and mediapro doesn't read it. However, support at first said no data showed up in the image I sent them, and then they had me resend it and then they said everything showed up on their end!?!

Anybody else use PS 2017 CC and metadata is showing up?

  Last attempt at solving this, I guess. I have tifs that I put in to MP but the metadata doesn't show up. However, if I save that tif out as a PSD or jpg, the metadata shows up. If I save that PSD or JPG as tif the metadata disappears? this happens using PS CC 2017 or PS CS5.1. So weird.
