Feature Request - Metadata Variables and Code replacement

I am a Photojournalist who uses both PhotoMechanic and Capture One. The main reason I use PhotoMechanic is to add IPTC Metadata to the files, something I can do with Capture One BUT PhotoMechanic allows me to use variables and code replacement to speed up this workflow dramatically.
Although this is a quick and reliable workflow I would prefer it if all my Metadata and editing tools were in the same application so the ability to use variables and code replacement within Capture One would be a huge advantage and enable me to negate the use of PhotoMechanic completely.
Is this likely to become a possibility sometime in the future?

  While I use PhotoMechanic with Capture One for the same reasons you mentioned, I can not answer your question. Upcoming features is not what users know about or are able to talk about.
  
  Your best call is to contact Phase One and open a support case and do the feature request.

  I did contact them a while ago regarding this but didn't get a response so wondered if anyone else knew anything.
